No need to shave between sugaring treatments, as sugaring requires only 1/8 to 1/4" of hair growth for body treatments (grain of rice in length).

Sugaring is 100% hygienic.  Sugar paste is never re-used and gloves are always worn on both hands.

Less painful. Sugar paste is applied against the hair growth and is extracted in the direction of hair growth.

Bacteria does not breed in high concentrates of sugar eliminating the possibility of cross contamination.

Sugaring Benefits

Sugar is 100% water-soluble.

Sugaring will never burn your skin. Sugar paste is applied at lukewarm temperature.

Sugaring is safe for all ages, skin type and body hair textures.

Sugar is a 100% natural, no chemical additives and no wax resins.

Sugar paste does not stick to live skin cells. Sugar paste gently exfoliates only dead skin cells, which is much gentler even on delicate areas like the bikini.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SUGARING APPOINTMENT?

Ensure skin is free of any excess oils, lotion, deodorant or any other skin care products on the area of the skin to be sugared. Do not exfoliate the day before, the day of or the day after treatment.

For best results hair should be at least 1/8 of an inch long (length of a grain of rice), usually two weeks growth. 1/4 inch for leg sugaring treatments.

If you are pain-sensitive, it is recommended to take a painkiller 30 minutes before your appointment.

CAN I BE SUGARED IF I HAVE BEEN USING ACCUTANE OR RETIN-A?

Clients who are on or have been on Accutane in the last six months cannot be sugared. Accutane shuts off oil glands, which can cause lifting of the skin that could damage and scar skin.

If you are using Retin-A or any other topical cream for acne, you cannot be sugared on the areas where the cream is applied.

IF I AM MENSTRUATING, CAN I STILL BE SUGARED?

Yes! You can still be sugared during this time. For a Brazilian or Bikini Plus service, wear a tampon, tuck in the string, and we can easily complete the appointment.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER MY APPOINTMENT?

Avoid sun, hot showers, and exercise for 24 hours.  Avoid any creams, lotions, or deodorants with artificial fragrances, as the pores are open.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS?

Best results occur when scheduling appointments approximately every 3 - 4 weeks, with the first 3 appointments as the most important to achieve reduction of hair growth.

HOW DO I CANCEL/RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

You can cancel and reschedule your appointment online. You can do so by clicking on a link in your confirmation email and following the prompts to cancel and then reschedule. You may also contact us directly by email or phone.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee. No notice and not showing for an appointment, and you will be charged the full fee for the missed appointment.

Appointment Pre-Care

  • Skin must be free of any excess oils, lotion, deodorant or any other skin care products on the area of the skin to be sugared.

  • Avoid sun exposure for 24 hours prior to your appointment, as sunburned skin cannot be sugared.

  • Do not exfoliate the day before, the day of or the day after treatment.

  • If you are pain-sensitive, take a painkiller 30 minutes before your appointment.

First Sugaring Experience: ensure hair is at least 1/8 - 1/4 inch long (length of a grain of rice) or approximately 2 weeks growth.

Hair being removed for the first time may be more resistant. As you have more services performed, the root becomes smaller and the hair removes more easily.

Appointment Post-Care
Immediately after your treatment skin may be more sensitive and you may experience some temporary redness. This is a normal reaction and disappears within an hour of treatment. To avoid this, it is recommended to soak in Dead Sea Salts after treatment to clean out the follicles.

Avoid:

  • Touching freshly sugared areas with unwashed hands.

  • Hot bath or shower, as it may cause increased skin sensitivity.

  • Working out 12-24 hours after your treatment, as perspiration may irritate the skin.

  • Sun tanning for at least 24 hours after your sugaring appointment. Sugaring exfoliates the skin, leaving skin more sensitive to UV rays.
